Registration Information

Registration Fees, listed in Australian Dollars, include:

  • Opening Reception (light appetizers) on Monday 9th of July
  • Morning and Afternoon Tea and Lunch on Monday 9th, Tuesday 10th, Thursday 12th and Friday 13th of July
  • Closing event on Friday 13th of July
  • Attendance to all conference sessions
  • Attendance to all poster sessions and exhibition areas
  • Printed program volume
  • Online program and abstract volume

    Payment: Payment is accepted by online credit/debit card only.

    Early registration rates: Payment in full must be received by 30th of April 2018, in order to benefit from the reduced registration rates. Delegates with registration payments outstanding on this date will then need to pay the standard registration fee. The standard registration process will be available until 31st of May 2018. Delegates wishing to register after this date should contact the conference at

    Confirmation: Your registration and payment will be confirmed by email. Your registration will not be processed or confirmed until payment has been received. Once you have completed your registration and payment, you will receive confirmation via email. This confirmation will include your registration receipt.

    Application for grants is now open. Grants will be available for students and for delegates from low economy countries. More information is available here.
    A letter of invitation is issued solely for the purpose of assisting participants with visa applications and/or to obtain funding for their attendance at the conference. If you require a letter of invitation, please register and pay for the conference. Once the payment has been received, please email the conference office at with the complete details for an invitation latter. Invitations can only be posted by Air Mail, delegates must allow at least 12 working days for their invitations to arrive.

    Accompanying guests are welcome on campus at Macquarie University. The campus offers a number of cafes and bistros in a beautiful, park-like surrounding. Accompanying guests are welcome at the icebreaker party on Monday, 10th of July and are invited to purchase tickets for social events and field trips. However, scientific session cannot be attended unless the full registration fee is paid.
    Registration, Workshops and Social Event bookings: You must send written notification of registration cancellation by email to Registration cancellations received by 30th of April 2018 (Early registration deadline) will receive a refund of their payments minus a $100 AUD processing fee.

    No refunds can be issued for cancellations after 31st of May 2018.

    Field Trips: All field trip fees are non-refundable.

    In case of cancellation we strongly recommend that you check your travel insurance policy to ensure that it covers you for the costs of cancelling or cutting your trip short in certain circumstances
